Athlete Profiles
Understand personal bests, season bests, history, classifications, and review states.
Personal bests
A personal best is the best compatible valid performance in the stored history. Lower times are better for timed events. Higher distances, heights, and points are better for field and multi-events. Ties remain ties; StrideSignal does not invent a winner between identical marks.
Season bests
A season best uses the same direction rule but only includes performances assigned to that season. A result with only a year is kept as season-level data and is not presented as having an exact competition date.
Competition and training history
Competition history and training-test history remain separate. A flying sprint is useful training evidence, but it is not an official race and does not replace a competition result. Charts identify whether a value is recorded, official, imported, athlete-entered, or calculated.
Progress charts
Charts use compatible stored records. Filters may narrow the visible chart, while the all-history forecast clearly states when it uses every available season instead. Missing or invalid marks are excluded rather than converted to zero.
Classifications
The profile displays the athlete's selected track or field sport class. Historical records from another class remain in history but are not used for a current-class standard comparison unless they are compatible with the selected class and context.
Result review states
- Source confirmed: linked to a reviewed published source.
- Athlete confirmed: connected after the athlete reviewed the public history.
- Athlete entered: supplied by the athlete and not represented as an official source result.
- Pending or duplicate review: waiting for an administrator decision.
- Rejected or archived: retained in history but excluded from active analysis.
