Data Sources and Accuracy

See how sources are prioritized, stored, refreshed, compared, and corrected.

Source types

StrideSignal uses reviewed public competition results, USA Track & Field and U.S. Paralympics Track & Field publications, World Para Athletics classification and rules pages, public record and ranking pages, administrator imports, and athlete-entered information.

Stored data versus live requests

The website reads its working data from Cloudflare D1. External websites are accessed only when an administrator starts or resumes an update. Each stored source record includes its organization, URL, publication date when available, last checked date, update method, and verification state.

Source priority

An official governing-body publication or official competition result is preferred for the fact it publishes. Source-derived archives remain labeled source-derived. Athlete entries remain athlete-entered. A calculated comparison never replaces an official ranking or mark.

When sources disagree

StrideSignal retains provenance, flags the conflict for review, and avoids silently overwriting a reviewed value. Administrators compare publication dates, source authority, event context, and correction notices. Revision history records the accepted change.

Reporting incorrect information

Contact the StrideSignal administrator with the athlete name, event, class, date, displayed value, expected value, and authoritative link. Do not include unnecessary private or medical information.

Confirm important requirements

Always confirm current standards, entry deadlines, selection procedures, classification requirements, implement specifications, and competition rules with the appropriate governing organization. A stored benchmark may change after its last verification date.
